Yael Yael, the Australian who lives in New York City, played Lorna in Orange Is the New Black. Yael holds a master's diploma from NIDA. From a young age, Yael has been lucky to be able to collaborate with the best storytellers in Australia, brilliant stars of theatre and visionaries who work working behind the scenes of film TV, theatre, and film. Yael has a very professional career that has been a success in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael was delighted to find her new home after the Brooklyn Academy of Music, which was the venue where the production premiered to critical acclaim, became her new home in New York City. Yael co-founded The Cannery. The Cannery is The Cannery, a Bushwick Brooklyn studio, they support new creative writings and encourage innovative ideas.
