Katja Herbers was born in Germany to Vera Beths, a violinist and Werner Herbers, an oboist. Herbers spent lots of moments with her mom in America as young, and they traveled around the world. She was introduced to theater by her mother, cellist Anner Brylsma, as well as her father Leonie P olak.
